My friends know me as Worf! I have been collecting video games since 1995 when i sold my Super Nintendo along with the 30 games i had (big mistake!!!) to purchase a Sony Playstation to mark a fresh start and whole new focus on collecting for this system of the future.

As a college student and working part-time at a cinema i didn’t exactly have a huge income, and later discovering that this Playstation was going to be more of a success than i imagined (meaning more games) this was proving to be more of a challenge. The Playstion 2 then came out and i started to buy games for that. Not being too impressed with the titles coming out on it’s early stages i was kind of losing interest.

Using this phenomenon called ‘the internet’ i encountered this auction site called ‘Ebay’ which allowed it’s users to both buy and sell items old or new. I remembered how colourful and vibrant the boxes looked on the NES games compared to that of DVD cases of the current gen consoles of that time and thought how good it would be if i amassed a collection of old Nintendo games that nobody plays anymore, would be really good to see people’s reactions. So using Ebay i bought a load of NES games from a collector selling up then started collecting for SNES, Mega Drive and decided that i am passionate about games in general enough to want to collect for every system.

My goal has always been to open up a museum to display my whole collection for the public to view, although this may have too many challenges to make this achievable. So as an alternative I have built this website to display my collection for anyone interested to know what games i own, learn a bit of video game history or even just admire the artwork of the boxes i grew to appreciate over the years.
